While awareness of amyloidosis is important for all healthcare professionals, specialized expertise is often the key to prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Amyloidosis Centers act as hubs for this specialized expertise, both treating patients and conducting research.
During this virtual workshop moderated by Morie Gertz, MD, MACP, presenters from six established Amyloidosis Centers discussed how their Centers are organized, how they operate, and what makes them successful. An additional presenter discussed the challenges of forming an Amyloidosis Center in a low-resource environment. Forty minutes of recorded Q&A and discussion are included below.
