About

The mission of the International Society of Amyloidosis (ISA) is to promote research, education, clinical studies (including diagnosis and treatment), conferences and symposia on all aspects of amyloidosis worldwide.

After an informal history beginning in 1967, ISA became an official Society, founded in 2002. It aims to foster international interaction to move the field forward for patients affected with all types of amyloidosis.

Amyloid – The Journal of Protein Folding Disorders is the official journal of ISA. The Society's amyloid nomenclature for use in scientific literature is published in Amyloid.

ISA facilitates the biennial ISA Symposium on amyloidosis, hosting more than 1000 physicians and scientists from across the world. The Society also holds online educational workshops on cutting-edge topics in the field of amyloidosis.
